What I have learned:
You may think it's a good idea to shave your dog's paws so snowballs don't stick whilst frolicking in the snow. It generally is a very good idea. What isn't a good idea is thinking to shave his butt so snow and clingons don't linger there. What is the worst idea of all is having a martini before you do it.
Poor Gus. It did entertain the vet, though, especially the way it stripes down to the left. How embareAssing for all.
My brother, Weasel, attended the family Christmas dinner, what a surprise. I haven't seen him since Dad's funeral. Seems he's joined a new motorcycle gang, a relatively tame one, compared to the last one he didn't joined. I guess the initiation was a bit much for him. It probably involved eating foie gras and drinking brandy, or something equally as foreign. He's named himself, "Sprocket", lord knows why.
Anyway, this is him. I'm so proud.
Message from the barn owner where my horse is boarded:

I’m sure you have heard all the hype on the TV and radio, so I just wanted to update you as to what the water is doing here around the farm. So far we and the horses are doing okay. There is some water (about 8”) flowing over the drive between the house and the back barn. Nothing a truck or ATV cannot handle, but wouldn’t suggest trying it with a car. All the barns and pastures away from the creeks are high and fine. Still plenty of grazing room for the horses. Those horses without shelters are enjoying the arena. Probably later today (depending if rain and wind get worse) and this evening we’ll bring everyone in. I am checking the flood reports hourly and so far the Snoqualmie is holding it’s own.
and then....

The water level is staying constant, so no new water updates. The Snoqualmie is getting close to flood stage, but the last few hours without rain have helped slow the progress. The most exciting thing is that Alfonso caught a Steelhead in the front pasture, near the driveway (in Lake Gordon). He missed two others because they were just too big to handle. I have pictures. We’ll let you know if there is going to be a salmon feed.
Note that, PROSTRATE, as in laying down flat out. It's what my dad used to say.
Turns out, she's anemic which can mimic angina. I think I was hung over that day during my Google MD training.
She is pretty funny. We were just talking about how her younger brother had blood "cloths" and is anemic, too. I said he seems to have the exact same health issues as you. When I said, "I hope you don't get prostate cancer like your other brother", she said, "Do you think I might?"
Oh, sir. Oh, Mom. Please don't let me look like this when I'm 80.
Well, the Urologist said it wasn't a bladder stone, so my MD and radiologist are goofs. Evidently, they didn't get their licenses via Google, like me.
I did, however, correctly predict heart disease for Mom. She had some pain in her heart after walking, with radiating pain down her left arm. Oh yeah, it's been a month and getting worse. When we got back from PA, I made her call her Dr and she was in within 45 minutes. We spent a day at the hospital, big fun.
Time for angiogram and stent, after waiting for the anti-clotting drugs are out of her system, Halloween dontcha know.
What the hell??!! Went to the doctor in May for some pain on the left and had an ultrasound. She saw a spot and told me no big deal, lots of people have benign tumors in their kidneys, come back in three months.
Went back and there it is, 7 mm kidney stone. Rocks? Inside my pee-pee; where it can hurt? My hands are all clammy just thinking about that pain. Then I Google about it and get all sweaty and faint from the dire predictions of pain, blood and the possibility of burning pee. I found a rock picture a little bigger than mine.
Going to see a weird urologist soon.
Looks like a Grapenut, but not nearly as good for you
Forget the strapless, weird sticky cups or bandaids. I tried duct tape last night before an auction requiring my cocktail attire and it worked! I didn't even feel it, except for the removal. I just leaned forward for maximum cleavage and ran two strips from below armpit, breasticle range and the girls just stayed there! All perky and pretty with a nice crack.
Smart me.
